Louis Vuitton French Company Weekender Bag
In the 1970's Louis Vuitton simply couldn’t keep up with its growing market in the US. For this reason, Louis Vuitton developed a relationship with a US luggage maker, The French Luggage Company. During a period from around 1976 through 1991, The French Company manufactured bags under a special license from Louis Vuitton. These items were made here in the US, and were sold here in the US. Pieces were available through prestigious retailers such as Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue. It is VERY RARE to see this piece. This duffle bag features the LV monogram canvas with vachetta leather trim. It has a flap pocket on front with a slip pocket behind it. The keys are missing to the locks but the bag is in tact and closes properly. The inside is roomy enough for a perfect weekend getaway.
